But anyways, I'll get back to what I did over spring break and stop complaining about the chilly weather.
I left school on Friday and went home to hangout with my family which I was so thankful for because I really needed a break to relax and not stress (I feel like that's not good grammar...). Saturday I got to hangout with three of my favorites, my cousins Kate, Joe, and Gavin. Gavin is two and it's crazy to me that the two or three months since I've seen him has led to him growing up so much in that short time. I love his adorable phrases that he says like, "That's so tasty" which leaves me laughing at how adorable he is.
But seriously, is that not the cutest little boy you've ever seen?
The rest of the week seemed to fly by. I spent it applying for jobs, hanging out with Trevor, getting lunch with both of my grandma's, catching up with my good friend Morgan who I've missed so much. Not to mention I got to cuddle with this cute cat even though he was attacking my hair. I've got to admit even that was cute.
Although it feels like the middle of December today, the weather was so nice this past week making for the best Spring Break. After a Starbucks run I was able to appreciate having my sunroof open and seeing a beautiful American flag waving through the blue sky (so of course I had to Instagram it).
My mom took off a whole day so that we could hangout and go shopping which made me so happy because I really miss my mom while I'm at school. We went to Short Pump and the Cheesecake Factory (aka heaven on Earth) and it was such a fun day. I know she won't be happy that I posted this picture but I think it's adorable.
The end of my break was by far the best. I got to eat lunch with two of my future roomies and two of my best friends. If you've ever been to Orange, VA you know that it'd be wrong to go there without stopping by El Vaquero so that's where we enjoyed our lunch. My friend Mandy from UVA was there too but unfortunately she didn't make the picture cause she was a forced to sit by me (totally joking).
I got to go to my first NBA game which I was beyond excited for. Trevor has really got me into watching basketball and so being able to go to a game was an awesome experience. I went with Trevor, Daniel, and his friend Courtney and although DC traffic is awful, it was so much fun. I'm so glad we stopped by Chick fil A on the way there because the chicken sandwich meal at the Verizon Center was 12 DOLLARS. Excuse me? I also got this super cute picture of me and Trevor in our Wizards shirts.
Sorry for the overwhelming amount of information where I try to make my week at home sound more exciting than a trip to PCB. I may not have taken a trip to the beach but I'd say spending time with all the people I love is just as good or better.
One last shoutout to JMU for the snow day on St. Patrick's Day! Have fun wearing green!
With love,
Bailey
