Confidence is key is such a common phrase that it's often said with no thought behind it but it means more to me. I used to have no confidence because I let someone tell me that I wasn't beautiful and I believed it.
Please if you only listen to one thing I ever say let it be that. DO NOT LET SOMEONE ELSE RUIN YOUR CONFIDENCE.
My boyfriend Trevor helped me gain all of the confidence I have today and I believe that I'm beautiful because he helped me to see it.
The media's definition of beautiful is unhealthy and altered. You do not have to be underweight and have plastic surgery to be considered beautiful. There truly is beauty in everything and it often requires a positive attitude. If someone is putting you down, they do not belong in your life. You need a good support system that will be honest and lift you up instead of putting you down. There is a clear line between letting you know that the shirt you're about to buy is ugly and telling you that you're ugly, fat, disgusting, etc. If you have confidence it will radiate from your body and 100% happier. People will see that glow and you will have an overall happier life and succeed.
So the moral of the story is be confident and surround yourself with a positive support group and you will be happier. I am so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life and I don't know where I'd be without them.
Love ya mean it,
Bailey

Bailey, you are a beautiful person! It shines through your blog and your writing, so don't ever let anyone tell you differently. I'm glad Trevor was able to help you regain your confidence. I know it's a difficult thing to get back, and I'm beginning to realize that I was missing mine before Paul. It's nice to have someone who can help you feel like you're completely you again. That being said, I don't think it was entirely just him. I think I had to be ready for it as well. But it really helped to have someone there to show me that it's okay to love and appreciate myself because other people do too.
ReplyDeleteSamantha,
ReplyDeleteYou are the sweetest! I'm so glad that you're getting your confidence back and thank you so much for letting me know that my writing has helped you!
Bailey :)
